Elena Kulichenko, born on 28 July 2002 in Odintsovo, began her high jumping career in Russia before representing Cyprus since 2021. After relocating to the United States in 2021, she enrolled at the University of Georgia to study sociology. Kulichenko won the 2023 European Youth Championships and the 2024 NCAA Championships, setting a record jump of 1.97 metres. In July 2024, she was the flag bearer for Cyprus at the Paris Olympics.
She shares her training routines on Instagram and Telegram while maintaining privacy regarding her personal life. Outside athletics, Kulichenko enjoys reading and travelling as she continues to develop her career in high jump.
