Chloe Kim, born April 23, 2000, in Long Beach, California, is an American snowboarder of Korean descent and a highly decorated athlete in the sport. She began skating at age 4 and won her first US Junior National Championship at 6. Kim debuted in adult competitions at 13 and won Olympic gold in the halfpipe at 17 during the 2018 Pyeongchang Games, performing a 1080. She defended her title at the 2022 Beijing Olympics, becoming a two-time Olympic champion. Her achievements include 2 Olympic gold medals, 4 World Championship golds (2019, 2021, 2023), and 6 X Games victories, holding the record among women in halfpipe events.
