Anya Taylor-Joy, born on April 16, 1996, in Miami, USA, grew up in Argentina and London within a multinational family. She spoke only Spanish until age six and later learned English. Beginning ballet as a child, she transitioned to acting with her debut in The Witch (2015). Her role in Split (2016) established her presence in cinema, and she gained worldwide recognition for The Queen's Gambit (2020), earning a Golden Globe for her portrayal of Beth Harmon.
